Fulton Lothridge, 94, former longtime resident of Palacios died December 11, 2006. He was born May 26, 1912 in Baxley, Georgia to Joseph Elijah and Agnes Pybus Lothridge. He worked for Alcoa for 26 years, was a member of the Palacios Masonic Lodge for 50 yrs and owned Lothridge Garage in Palacios.

Survivors include daughters Virginia Valenta of Bay City and Judy Hanzik & husband Ronald of Aiken, SC; son Joe Lothridge & wife Debbie of Columbus; seven grandchildren Denise Valenta, Valerie Henson, Vanessa McFadin, Brad Mann, Lauren Mann, Matt Torregrossa and Rick Bateman and two great granddaughters Christina & Alyssa Henson.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Palacios Funeral Home Chapel, 701 1st St., Palacios, TX with Rev. Sammy Carr officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brad Mann, Matt Torregrossa, Tommy Beard, Ted Bates, Buddy Stavinoha, and Arthur Kollmann. Charles Fox and Billy Morton will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6pm – 8pm Wednesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, 2313 Ave I, Bay City, TX.
