Frankie Baros passed away October 29, 2013 in Wharton, TX. He was born on June 4, 1943 to the late Leo and Mary Baros of El Campo, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bethelene Knott Baros, daughter Kerry Baros, and brothers Dennis, Alfred and Leo Baros. Frankie is survived by his brother Leroy Baros & wife Patricia of Lufkin, TX; daughters Terry & husband Donny McCabe of Edna, TX and Kristie & husband Donovan Cody of Bolingbrook, IL; son Joey & wife Debbie Baros of Bay City, TX; four grandsons Cole McCabe & wife Amy, Koby Baros, Jake Cody and Liam Cody; five granddaughters Lesley Powers & husband Josh, Keri Geistman & husband Joe, LeeAnn Myers & husband Evan, Laura Jackson and Haley Baros; five great grandsons Cooper, Cohen & Kendall Myers, Jace Geistman and Bryce McCabe and one great granddaughter Emily Powers.
Frankie was an honest, hardworking man. He taught his children and grandchildren about integrity, discipline, serving others and earning an honest living. He was a part of the Bay City Volunteer Fire Department and the Lions Club where he devoted many hours helping others. He worked at the Pepsi Cola plant in Bay City before going into business for himself. He operated the last full-service gas station in Bay City along the side of his beloved Beth.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, October 31, 2013 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Garlan Hinman, Bobby Klatt, Andy Coz, Perry Hutchinson, Jimmy Rieger and Mike Ging. Robert Foote will serve as honorary pallbearer.
