Frank Johs, 85, of Palacios passed away June 29, 2010. He was born March 7, 1925 in Palacios, TX to the late Erhardt & Elizabeth Wertz Johs. He served in the US Air Force during WWII and worked for Alcoa for over 30 years. He married Margie Cooper on Sept. 19, 1946.

His brother Joe, John, Tony, Henry & Erich Johs all preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Margie of Palacios; daughters Dianne Bowers & husband Walter of Palacios and Mary Van Borssum & husband Robert H. of Corpus Christi; son Robert W. Johs & wife Shelley of Palacios; sister Alice Wright of Olivia; brother Albert Johs of Austin; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm to 7pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Palacios Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Appiasi officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Erich Remlinger, Aaron Johs, Adam Johs, Kevin Bowers, Darrell Bowers and Kenneth Pavlat. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Charity of your Choice.
