Franklin Gordon Dacke, 78, of Bay City passed away June 17, 2016. He was born December 20, 1937 in Goliad, Texas to the late Clyde Bee Dacke and Lorene Pearl Allman Dacke.

Frank was a hard-working man all of his life. He taught his nieces and nephews the importance of that and to "Always wear a smile." They remember his teaching them to say "God Bless You" to anyone who angered you and then walk away.

He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Smith and brothers Robert Arliss Dacke and Clyde Henry Dacke. Survivors include sister Doris Norman; brothers Arliss Dacke and Jimmy Dacke; nieces Janet C. Hyde, Tammy Brewer, Ann Norman, Layla Brewer and Kaila Hyde; nephews Franklin James Dacke, John Norman, Dustin Norman, Michael Brewer, Hunter H. Hyda and Robert Nichols and brother-in-law David Smith.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 1PM until 2PM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
