Francis "Red" Denbow, 84, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007 in Ganado, TX. He was born October 24, 1922 in Belcher, Louisiana to the late William Forrest & Pinkie Belle Smith Denbow. Red was a retired Gauger for Marathon Oil Co., a World War II Army Veteran, a lifetime member of VFW Post 2438 in Bay City, and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include wife: Bertha A. Denbow of Ganado; 3 daughters: Sandra Ann Burchett of Ben Hur, VA, Nancy Dean Schilling of Bay City, and Mary Ann Country of Conroe; son: George Jerry Genzer of Ganado; and 7 grandchildren: Sheila, Rachel, Nancy Virginia, Bethany, Shannon, Ronnie, and Robert. Red was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Edythe Carter; 3 brothers: Herman, Harold and Elmer Denbow; and grandson: Ronnie Giger, Jr.
The Family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Midfield Cemetery with VFW Honors. Pallbearers will be: Manuel Basquez, Robert Gary, George Keller, Gary Magee, Danny Perez, and Billy Ray Trahan. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Grandsons: Ronnie and Robert Genzer; and Members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and VFW Post 2438.
