Frances Polensky Jurek, 86, passed away peacefully May 6, 2008 at Bay Villa Nursing home where she had resided for the last three years. She was born January 8, 1922 to Anton and Mary Luchak Polensky. Frances was a sweet and gentle woman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Louie "Red" Jurek, infant son Steven Jurek and brothers Stanley, Eddie, Johnnie and Sonnny Polensky.
Frances and Louie raised all of their children on a small farm near Clemville. They were hard workers, just plain honest country folks of devout Catholic faith. After Louie's death in 1991, Frances lived in Markham until moving to Bay Villa.
She is survived by her children Frances Louise Rush &husband Eugene, Betty Jean Fisher & husband Leone, Louis Jurek & wife Margaret and Johnny Jurek & wife Judy as well as ten grandsons: Chris Templeton, Joshua Fisher, Jason & Neil Jurek, Eugene, Tracy Michael, Mark, Louis & Steven Rush; 22 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She leaves behind sisters Rose Williams of Bay City and Beatrice Bell of Saginaw & one brother Lawrence Polensky of El Campo.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 7 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 8, 2008 with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
