Frances "Aunt Frances" McMahon, 95, of Van Vleck passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Bay City. She was born September 25, 1915 in Van Vleck to the late Frank H. & Anna Elizabeth Owen McMahon. As a young girl, she went to Houston and attended business school. She eventually went into the real estate profession as a licensed agent. She was a talented seamstress, and enjoyed many hours working with arts and crafts. She joined the United Methodist Church as a young woman. Upon retirement she returned to Van Vleck in the mid 1980's.

Frances is survived by her nieces & nephews: James Bryan Berryhill & wife Jerrie Lee, Roy Berryhill & wife Suzanne, Johnnie Bickham & wife Sheron, Anna Sue Brown & husband John, Bill Bickham, Frances Baird & husband Bob; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters: Wilmoth McMahon Berryhill and Elizabeth McMahon Bickham; and nephew: Clyde R. Bickham.

The Family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. A celebration of Aunt Frances's life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church of Van Vleck with Rev. Martha Girling officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Bickham, Ryan Bickham, John Bickham, Elliott Baird, Paul Bickham, and Ed Stafford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Van Vleck, 8888 Hwy 35 N., Van Vleck, TX 77414.
