Frances Louise Zachry Crunk went to her heavenly home on November 16, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1928, in Lockesburg, Arkansas to Grady and Daisy Slaton Zachry. Frances married William Oliver Crunk on November 1, 1947 and spent the next 49 years being a wife and mother in the Texarkana and Nash, Texas areas. She was active in the First Baptist church in Nash and loved working with Bible School each summer. She was an avid fisherman, a talented seamstress and loved to crochet. She spent many hours working in her yard and received several awards for outstanding yards in Nash.

After the death of her husband in 1996, she moved to Palacios to be near her daughter. She joined and attended the First United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the Ladies Bible Study each Wednesday. Frances ate many lunches at the Friends of Elder Citizens and enjoyed their activities.

The last four years of her life was spent at Matagorda Nursing and Rehab Center in Bay City. Her nurses commented on her humor, amusing wit and her legendary stories.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Janszen (Erwin), grandson Eric Janszen (Christie), granddaughter Lorianne Classen (Sean), great grandsons Bryce Classen and Jacob Classen and great granddaughter Tenley Janszen; sisters Martha Hughes (Joe) and Lucy Westervelt; brothers Merle Zachry (Berniece) and Rodney Zachry and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, November 24, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Palacios with Rev. Phillip Higginbotham officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Hillcrest Cemetery near Texarkana, Texas. Pallbearers will be Eric Janszen, Sean Classen, David Janszen, David King, Bill Miller and Ruben Gonzales.
