Frances Davis Brady, 80, of Bay City graduated into the church triumphant on June 29, 2005 at The Legacy in Bay City. She was born December 20, 1924 in East Columbia, TX to the late Gary William and Pearl Lee Bradford Davis.
Mrs. Brady was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a longtime resident of Bay City. She was co-owner of Brady's Flowers for many years until her retirement in 1973, at which time she moved to Victoria. While living in Victoria, she was a dedicated volunteer for Victoria Regional Medical Center and was a faithful member of Victoria Methodist Church. Upon returning to Bay City she re-united with First United Methodist Church and served on several committees.
Frances lived her life loving her family and serving the Lord, but has now gone to reunite with her husband, family, and their Heavenly Father.
Survivors include her three children: Harriet Townsend of Bay City, William D. Brady & wife Beverley of Mineral, Virginia, and Barbara Stewart & husband Ron of Mountain Home, Idaho. 7 grandchildren: Candace Seidel & husband Ralph, Robin Haring & husband Bob, Chris Townsend & wife Jeni all of Bay City, Bill Brady of Toledo, Ohio, Bethany Brady of Baltimore, MD, Cassandra Carrier & husband Ricky of Rayne, LA, and Barbie Lynn Kile of Pearland, TX; also by 9 great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Joe Brady of Bay City; and sister-in-law: Theresa Brady of Galveston; She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Brady and brother Milam Davis.
Funeral Service will be 4:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev's Kevin Young and Pauline Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Durrett, Amon Wade, Richard Knapik, Bill Bona, Tom Fields, and Russell Koliba. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Conner, Bill Howze, Dr. Dane Simons, Judge Greg B. Westmoreland, Ralph Seidel II, Gary Harrell, and Members of the Friendship Class of the First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
