Foster "Buddy" Simmons, Jr., 77, of Sargent passed away on November 26 ^th , 2020 in Angleton, TX.  He was born November 3, 1943 in Moultrie, GA to the late Foster & Zennie Miller Simmons.

His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing whatever came along with a smile and positive attitude.  Despite any situation he always managed to keep everyone around him laughing with the many jokes he could tell.  He was a master carpenter and loved building things, not only for himself, but especially for family and friends. He was always ready and willing to help anyone that needed help. He was a longtime resident of Matagorda County, and serviced his Country during Vietnam as a member of the US Army.

He is survived by his son: Foster "Jody" Simmons III & wife Pam; Daughter: Melissa Guerrero & husband Mark; 3 Grandchildren: Kayla Hutton & husband Michael, Kassie Cervantes, and Foster "Jacob" Simmons IV; 3 Great Grandchildren: Mabel Hutton, Noelle Hutton, and Forest Hutton; 2 sisters: Jackie and June; and 3 brothers: Winford, Hubert, and Mickey all of Moultrie Georgia.
