Floydd Glynn Collier, Sr., 84 of Angleton, TX passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2006 in Lake Jackson, TX. He was born April 8, 1922 in Truscott, TX to Bartlett Hinton Collier and Pervis Mae Newman Collier. He was a former Lab Technician for the Markham Operations of Marathon Oil Company. He was a resident of Angleton for the past 5 years and a former resident of Matagorda County for 44 years.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Suvanna Bryant Collier of Angleton; by his daughters: Kyy Minkert of Bay City, Sue Neuman of Angleton and Sherry Card of Markham; by his sisters: Isabell Hardison of Vernon, TX and Leone Greenwood of Arlington, TX; and by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sons: Calvin Cale Collier and Glynn Collier, Jr.; by his parents: Bartlett H. Collier and Pervis Mae Collier; and by 1 sister and 5 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, TX.
