Faustino Montalvo Jr., 62, of Bay City passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2007. He was born June 11, 1945 in Angleton to Olivia Cervantes Montalbo & Faustino Montalbo, Sr.. Faustino worked for Texaco and Lowery Tire for many years, enjoyed his oldies music, record collection, Elvis, and motorcycles. He loved his grandchildren, and had accepted the Lord as his Saviour.
Faustino is survived by 2 sons: Jamie R. Montalvo & wife Lyzz of Bay City, and Ronnie Pruitt of League City; Mother: Olivia Montalbo of Bay City; 2 sisters: Mary Jasso & husband Abelino of Bay City, and Rosa M. Garcia & husband Domingo of Angleton; 5 brothers: Wally Montalbo of Bay City, Joe Montalbo of Baytown, Manuel Montalbo & wife Linda of Concord AR, Gilberto "Tito" Montalbo of Richmond, and Tino "Silvas" Montalbo of Bay City; 2 grandchildren: Brandon Matthew Montalvo and Lauren Elizabeth Montalvo both of Bay City. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carol Shepherd Montalvo; father: Faustino Montalbo, Sr.; and brother: Jesse Montalbo.
A rosary will be held 7:00 PM Friday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A mass will be held 3:00 PM Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers are: Adam Oros, Saul Fernandez, Noah Huerta, Sylvester Garcia, Abel Jasso, and Mike Worrel. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren: Brandon and Lauren Montalvo.
