Faustino Estraca, Sr., 96, of Bay City, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026. He was born March 11, 1930, in Mathis, Texas to the late Santiago Estraca and Guadalupe Dominguez Estraca

Faustino loved driving his semi-truck, in the early 80’s to 90’s he worked for Mr. Fehmel at Fehmel Dusting hauling fertilizer. Aside from driving his truck, he enjoyed doing yard work and just loved to be outside. If you didn’t catch him in his yard he was probably doing all the neighbor’s yards as well. He was a hardworking man who loved his wife and family very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Estraca; son, Monses Estraca; sisters, Juanita Rodriguez and Nana Cantu; 4 grandsons, Joseph, David, Michael, and Ernest; and 1 granddaughter Bonnie. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Garcia Estraca; sons, Johnny (Rosemary) Estraca of Victoria, Tx, Faustino Jr. (Sylvia) Estraca of Bay City, Tx, Tony (Lorena) Estraca of Victoria, Tx; brothers, Santos Estraca of Bay City, Tx, Santiago Estraca of New Jersey; sisters, Susana Mireles of El Campo, Tx, Angie Garza of Victoria, Tx, Maria Estraca Tavarez of Yoakam, Tx, and Clara Garza of Seadrift, Tx. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 9:00am – 10:00am Friday, April 10, 2026, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am with Chris Webber officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers for Faustino will be Juan Estraca Jr., Alfonso Estraca, George Tate, Victor Gamez, Susie Akin, Kelsea Akin.
