Obituary
Rev. Joseph Shannon, C. S. B., died peacefully on January 2, 2013 at St. Dominic Village in Houston, Texas at the age of 92. Fr. Shannon was a longtime pastor at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Bay City, Texas and served at numerous mission churches in Mexico and Texas.
Fr. Shannon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and sister, Sr. Carmelita and is survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road. The Rite of Committal will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane of Forest Park Lawndale cemetery in Houston, Texas.
