Obituary
Evelyn Mae Viets, 77, formerly of Palacios, passed away May 16, 2015. She was born April 7, 1937 in Portland, OR to the late Gilbert Locke and Elizabeth Rebecca Mitchell. She had been a resident of Victoria for the past 8 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerard Benjamin Viets. Survivors include daughter Lisa Petrisky & husband Michael of Victoria; son Gary Viets & wife Scottie of Victoria; brother Gene Mauk of Kansas; grandchildren Sarah Hulin & husband Justin and Stanley Petrisky and great grandchildren Nolan Hulin and Lauren Hulin.
The family will receive friends and relative from 5pm until 7pm Monday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Palacios with Rev. David King officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stanley Petrisky, Justin Hulin, Ricky Zemanek and Bobby Zemanek.
