Evelyn McNabb Baker Haley, 92, of Bay City passed away May 14, 2008. She was born August 20, 1915 in Bay City to the late William Edward & Jennie Baxter McNabb. She was a life long member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. She was a 6th Generation descendant of Elias Wightman.

Her husbands Charles Bryan Baker, Sr. and James Donald Haley preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Charles "Chuck" Baker & wife Fran of Bay City; two grandchildren Bryan McNabb Baker & wife Rhonda of Fairchilds & Gregory Wayne Baker of Matagorda; four great grandchildren Morgan, Mitchell, & Macey Baker all of Fairchilds & Taylor Baker of Beaumont, Mississippi; niece Catherine Anderson & husband Carl of Matagorda; great niece Nonie Moore & husband Tim; great nephew Bill Anderson; great-great nephew Timothy Moore & wife Tricia; great-great-great niece Madeline Moore and many friends & relatives who were very dear to her.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Harrison & Rev. Pauline Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Bill Anderson, Wayne Brown, Gary Green, Tim Moore, Timothy Moore, and Dr. Garland Watson DDS. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bay City or of Matagorda, the Matagorda Cemetery Association or to the charity of your choice
