Eva Arias Guzman of Texas City passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025. She was born August 21, 1947 in Bay City to Bruno Arias and Esther Zepeda Lopez. Eva was raised in the Bay City area.  She married Johnny B. Guzman, Sr. on December 12, 1962 in Bay City.  She worked for the Texas City ISD in Food Service and La Marque ISD as a bus driver.  Eva and her husband also were real estate owners including apartments.  Later they enjoyed operating their infamous La Movida Loca Tejano Club in Texas City.  Eva loved spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking and nurturing her pets, including birds.

Her parents Bruno Arias and Esther Zepeda Lopez preceded her in death. She was preceded by Brothers, Samuel Montoya, Michael Montoya, Sisters Include, Esther Arias Anzaldua, Emma Landriault.

She is survived by Johnny B. Guzman; daughters Eva L. Wisner and husband Karal F. Wisner, Sr. and Elizabeth Cardenas; sons Johnny Guzman, Jr. and wife Rhonda and Jacob Guzman and wife Sharon; sisters Elva Arias Mendiola, Olga Arias Douglas, Mary Arias Rodriguez and Linda Jasso; brothers Don Montoya, Jr., Bruno Arias, Jr., Johnny Arias and Ruben Jasso; grandchildren Karal Wisner, Jr. and wife Norys Sugey Wisner, Koti Wisner, Sr., Kaleb Wisner and wife Lexie A. Wisner, Johnny Guzman II and wife Kristen Ramirez, Amber Guzman, Emilio Guzman and wife Shaina Guzman, Evelyn Lewis, Carlo Lewis, Ollie Cardenas, Ayla Cardenas, Anna Lisa Esclavon, Alyssa Guzman, Victoria Pursel, Tyler Watts, Christian Ramierz, Kylie Jackson and husband Kaleb Jackson, Joshua Minnehan and wife Kourtney Minnehan; great grandchildren Faith Underwood, Hope Guzman, King Lewis, Madison Wisner, Kolton Wisner, Haven Wisner, Aden Wisner, Abbygail Wisner, Matthew Wisner, Juan Zachary, Koti S. Wisner, Jr., Hadlee Ferguson, Grayson Pursel, Kara Jackson and Kaleb Jackson.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2025 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM.  Pallbearers will be Karal F.  Wisner, Jr., Koti S. Wisner, Sr., Kaleb A. Wisner, Koti S. Wisner, Jr., Emilio Guzman, Carlo D. Lewis and Johnny Guzman III .
