Eva Chavez, 73, of Palacios passed away September 2, 2022.  She was born January 1, 1949 to the late Jose and Maria Oritz.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Fidel Chavez.

Survivors include her husband, Alfredo Chavez; daughters Dalia Chavez, Lorena Chavez, Marisol Chavez; sons Simon Chavez, Alfredo Chavez, Jr. and Sylvester Chavez and numerous grandchildren and other family members.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  Funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.
