Eugene Warren Corenfield, 78, of Van Vleck passed away May 15, 2023.  He was born July 26, 1944 in McLennan County, Texas to the late Louis Corenfield and Mary Deal Corenfield.

He drove a truck and retired from Central Freight Lines after 25 years. He also worked at Nan Ya Plastics and then for Matagorda County for a while before deciding that it was time for full retirement. Where he could spend his days watching old westerns and cooking shows on direct tv. He also enjoyed watching the animals outside including birds, cats, chickens, dogs, and rabbits.

He was preceded in death by his father: Louis Corenfield; mother: Mary Deal Corenfield Walls; stepfather: Turner Walls; brother: Henry L. Corenfield; sister-In-Law: Leslie Corenfield; sister: Shirley Kay; and brother-in-law: Sid Kay.

Survivors include his wife: Jackie Corenfield; sons: Henry Corenfield (Kristi), John Corenfield (Becky), and Jerry Corenfield (Katie); grandchildren: Derek Corenfield (Bryleigh Evans), Dawson Corenfield, Briana Corenfield, Ryan Soto, Kaitlin Guidry (Daniel), Kaci Corenfield, J.T. Corenfield, Sophia Corenfield, Keely Corenfield, and Ada Corenfield; great grandchildren: Brayden Soto, Emberlynn Soto, and Karter Guidry; and sidekick: Angel.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Van Vleck.  Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM with Pastor Noe Cano officiating. Pallbearers will be Ryan Soto, Derek Corenfield, Dawson Corenfield, and J.T. Corenfield.
