Obituary

Etta Willene Crosson Blackwell, 74, of Bay City, passed away Friday, August 29, 2008. She was born June 7, 1934 in Sweeny, TX to Carrie Belle Starks Crosson and Oliver Joe Crosson, Sr.

Willene was a lifelong resident of Bay City and a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Bay City. She worked 45 years serving her banking clients, with the First National Bank, then as the Norwest Bank, and retiring as the Second Vice President of Norwest Bank of Bay City.

She is survived by her Sisters: Ruby Lee Sargent of Bay City, Fonda Mae Kostelnik of Pearland and Ida Belle Brumley of Pasadena; by her brothers: Tommy Leon Crosson of Garland, Lonnie Carl Crosson of Sweeny and Oliver Joe Crosson, Jr. of Bay City; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Neil Blackwell; by her parents: Carrie Belle and Oliver Joe Crosson, Sr., by her sisters: Lois Helen Graeber and Ollie Marie Fojtik; and by her brothers: George Crosson and Alfred Crosson.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM Sunday, August 31, 2008. The family will receive visitors Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 1, 2008 at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jonathan McClintock officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.

Memorials may be made to Tueplo Children's Mansion of Tueplo, Mississippi or to the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Bay City.
