Ethel Lee Chamblee Kunefke, 81, of Palacios passed away August 5, 2011. She was born July 12, 1930 in Kaufman County, Texas to the late Roy Douglas Chamblee and Annie Lloyd Chamblee.

Her husband of 57 years, Robert R. Kunefke, Sr. preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter Cheryl Scott & husband Brad of Palacios; son Bob Kunefke, Jr. & wife Chris of Palacios; granddaughters Amy Foote of Dallas & Nicole Kunefke of Palacios; sisters Margaret Cleveland of Victoria, Loraine Smith of Palacios, Faye Bates of Palacios & Shirley Griffith of Victoria and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6PM to 8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 8, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Palacios with Rev. Hollas Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vernon Bates, Jr., Mark Bates, Alton Smith, David Smith, Mike Griffith, Dwayne Griffith & Charles Eikenberg. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers Marjorie Johnson, Hope Guerrera, Carol Garcia and Frit Clark.
