IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ethel Keith
Gwin
November 29, 1928 – September 20, 2023
Ethel Gertrude Keith Gwin, 94, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2023 at Bethany Senior Living in Port Lavaca, TX. She was born November 29, 1928 in Hollandale, Mississippi to the late Carl Keith, Sr. and Willie Anderson Keith.
Ethel grew up in Hollandale, Mississippi and graduated from Hollandale High School, she also earned her Bachelor's degree from Mississippi College. She taught school for many years including Palacios Junior High where she loved teaching the kids about Texas History! Ethel loved serving the Lord each week with her church family, whether that was teaching a Sunday School class or Women's Ministry or even Girls in Action (GA's) classes & activities. She was quite talented with sewing and especially crocheting. Her family has enjoyed her creations over the years and they are very much loved because she made them with love! She also loved watching sports over the years, supporting local teams and especially the Astros!
In addition to her parents & siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. James Robert (Bob) Gwin and daughter Janice Ruth Gwin. What a great celebration, not only she is in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, but she was finally reunited with her beloved husband and precious daughter Janice. And also a great union with her Keith family as well as she had outlived all of her siblings too.
Survivors include daughters Joyce Lee of Spring, TX, Jill Sheppard and her husband Stanley of Sugar Land, TX and Jenta Frick and her husband Randy also of Sugar Land, TX and her grandchildren called her Mimi & they are Dakota Medley, Janice Sheppard, Spencer Rose, Shelby Rose, Shane Rose, Kelsen Frick and Trace Frick. She loved her grandchildren!! She loved visiting, caring for & especially loved going to their events! They were her heart!
