Ethel Ann Allen Guynes, 73 of Alvin, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Webster, TX. She was born September 12, 1933 in Palacios, TX to Thelbert Allen and Bertha Green Allen. She was a resident of Alvin for the past three years and a former Matagorda County resident of the Palacios, Blessing, and Carancahua Bay areas. Ethel was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and painting.

She is survived by her husband: George Guynes of Alvin; her daughters and sons-in-law: Debra K. and Chris Grilli of Hempstead, Sherry L. and Maxwell Meador of League City and Karen R. and Terry Welker of Alvin; by her son and daughter-in-law: Michael R. and Cherie Guynes of Alvin; by her sister: Peggy Michalik and husband Ray of Brazoria; and by her grandchildren: Wade L. Jones; Aaron Connell, Michelle Welker, Christopher Welker, and Courtney Guynes. She was preceded in death by her parents: Bertha and Thelbert Allen; and her brother: Joe Edward Allen.

The family will receive visitors from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday and the Palacios Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Palacios Cemetery with Rev. Andy Blair officiating.
