Estella Perez Lucio, 73, of Palacios, Texas passed away on October 12, 2020.   She was born on August, 5, 1947 in Bay City, Texas to Manuel and Nieves Perez.

Estella was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Nieves, her sisters Virginia Perez Pardo, Ramona Perez, Olga Perez, Pauline Carabajal.

She is survived by her husband Gilbert Trevino Lucio, her daughter Nieves Lucio Jimenez, and her six grandchildren Jessica, Cesar, Jasmine, Dominic, Chazz, Ben ; two great granddaughters Anastasia Nemes and Kynleigh Reese, her sister Teresa Gonzales(Herby), her brother Larry Pena (Victoria) ; many nieces, nephews and their children.

Estella was a retired instructional aide of 25 years at PISD. Stella was known for her artistic abilities and festive holiday attire. She enjoyed collecting black and white cows. She also enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren. Her specialties were tortillas, fried shrimp and fish and her homemade chicken strips. Her grandchildren were her life. She rarely missed her grandchildren's games, whether football, baseball, cross country, band, scouts, jujitsu, basketball, or track. She was always there to cheer them on across the miles, through rain, heat, cold. Stella was a member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church.

Her favorite devotions were the holy rosary and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Visitation begins at 9:00 am Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Palacios, Texas. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am, followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 am with Father Dominic officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers are her nephews, Anthony Pardo, Eric Pardo, David Gonzales, Juan Perez, Elian Perez, Steven Gonzales, Mark Gonzales and grandson Cesar Jimenez Jr.
