Esmeralda Alvarado, 68, of Bay City passed away September 16, 2016. She was born August 8, 1948 in Mexico to the late Juan Torres and Carmen Estrada Torres.

She was preceded in death by her son Juan Alvarado, sister Maria Guadalupe Torres Estrada and brother Jose Natividad Torres Estrada.

Survivors include her husband Cesar Alvarado; daughters Carmen Dominguez (Abel) of El Campo, Claudio Solis (Jack) of Van Vleck and Yvette Lovett (Dean) of Rockport; sons Cesar Alvarado, Jr. (Allison) of New Braunfels and Alexander Alvarado (Jamie) of Seabrook; sisters Ma Luisa Torres Estrada, Maria Rosario Torres Estrada, Eva Falconburg and Ma Mercedes Alvarado; brothers; Juan Emidio Torres Estrada and Jose Luis Torres Estrada; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
