Ernest Cervantes, Sr., 66, of Van Vleck, Texas passed away Thursday December 5, 2019 in Houston, Texas. He was born March 11, 1953 in Bay City to the late Pedro Cervantes, Sr., and Consuelo Reyes Cervantes. He was employed with DOW Chemical Company for nearly 30 years.

Ernest is survived by his brothers, Pete Cervantes, Jr., George Cervantes, and Richard Cervantes; sisters, Hortencia Garcia, Virginia Cervantes, Connie Alamia, Yolonda Perez, Maria Mendoza, and Frances Cortez; sons, Ernest Cervantes, Jr., Mark Cervantes, and Johnny Cervantes; grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Cervantes, Sr., and Consuelo Cervantes; his loving wife, Eva Alameda Cervantes; brothers, Arthur Cervantes, and Ruben Garcia; and sister, Mary Esther Trevino.

Funeral services for Ernest will be 10:00am Wednesday December 11, 2019 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas. The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7pm Tuesday December 10, 2019 with a rosary starting at 6:30pm at Taylor Bros. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas.
