Ernest Partida, 69, of Markham, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016. He was born on July 24, 1946 in Bay City, TX to the late Santos and Mary Garza Partida.

Ernest proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and retired from Celanese after 35 years plus. He was an avid golfer who loved to barbeque for his family and friends. Ernest loved to woodwork and take his wife dancing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Trina Partida; children, Angie Gaona & husband Oscar, JoAnn Garay & husband Joe; grandchildren, Jessica Reyes, Eric Reyes, Samantha Partida, Nicky Garay, Amri Gaona, Alexis Gaona; Great grandchild JoAverii Arvelo; sister, Rosalia Partida Marjason. Ernest is preceded in death by his parents; sister Sara Arsola, brother Santos Partida Jr.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, from 5:00-8:00pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00pm at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Monsignor Gerry Cernoch celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Nicky Garay, Eric Reyes, Joe Garay, Oscar Gaona, Bill Little and Michael Montalvo.
