Ernest Medina, Jr., 19, of Bay City passed away March 16, 2009. He was born January 18, 1990 in Edinburg, Texas to Ernest Medina, Sr. & Maria C. Paz Medina.

Ernest was very liked and loved by his friends and family. He liked everything a young man would like, including sports, fishing and hunting. He kept his body fit and lean. He grew up in the Cub Scouts and was a Boy Scout. In 2006, he was one of the Explorers of the Year. He was going to graduate in May of 2009 from Bay City High School and was scheduled to go to Lincoln Technical Trade School in Grand Prairie on June 30. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his parents both of Bay City; maternal grandparents Marcial Avila Paz and Juana Moreno Paz of Edinburg, TX and his brother David P. Medina of Bay City.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm to 8pm Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 20, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Max Pluss officiating. Pallbearers will be: Darel Brannan, Jerrad Patina, Zach Reyes, Angel Salinas, Scott Vestal, and Justin Williams. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.
