Erling Ormseth "Barry" Barsness, 86, of Bay City passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013. He was born September 21, 1926 in Glenwood, Minnesota to the late Sherman Leroy & Rachel Ormseth Barsness. He served his Country during WWII & Korea as a member of the U. S. Navy. He retired from the Westinghouse Co. in January of 1987.

Barry is survived by his daughter: Katy Liberoni of Bay City; 2 sons: Michael Barsness of Boston, MA and George Barsness of Alexandria, VA; sister: Helen Ann Johnson of Colorado; 6 grandchildren: Tracy, Sarah, Chris, George Jr., Zachary, and Kathleen; and 2 great grandchildren: Aria and Olivia. Preceded in death by his parents and wife: Phyllis G. McCabe Barsness in April of 1994.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 27, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Bay City with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Burial will occur at a later date at Ligonier Valley Cemetery in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
