Erich Erhardt Johs, Jr. passed away peacefully Monday, November 05, at his home in La Ward, Texas at the age of 70. He was born December 03, 1941 in El Campo, Texas to the late Erich Erhardt Johs, Sr. and Lenadene Ramsey Johs.

Erich is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sandy, of La Ward, his son, David A. Johs of Bay City and one sister, Wanda Foster, also of Bay City. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Alexandra Claire Blande (James) of Mississippi, Victoria Jane Johs of Lubbock, and Brandon Shane Cornett (Alicia) of Bay City.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm until 8pm Wednesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. The Funeral Service will held Thursday at 10:00am at First Baptist Church in Lolita, Texas with Rev. Dennis Phariss officiating. Burial will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Dickey Ellis, Gary Beyer, Sam Ramsey, Coy Ramsey, Rickey Ramsey, and Bruce Ramsey.

The family would like to extend its sincerest appreciation to Dr. and Mrs. Terry Whitehouse and the entire team of caregivers at Hospice of South Texas for the gentle, loving kindness bestowed upon our loved one, as well as ourselves, during a most difficult time. We will be forever grateful for the opportunity to have cared for Erich at home during his last days.
