Eric Warren Vercher, 30, of Bay City passed away January 13, 2015. He was born November 24, 1984 in Bastrop, LA to Keith Vercher and Roxanne Ruth Vercher. He was a 2003 graduate of Sterlington High School, Sterling, LA where he competed in the State Competition Pole Vaulting and played football for the team who took State that year.

He is survived by his wife Darci Vercher who is expecting their child in June of Bay City; daughter Danielle Nicole of Oyster Creek, TX; father Keith Vercher of Hammond, LA; mother Roxanne Vercher of Needville, TX; brother Chaz Vercher & wife Logan; nieces Bella Rose and Natalia Vila of Needville; grandfather Tom Ruth, grandmother Jewel Ruth & her companion Buddy Kelley of Bastrop, LA; and Susan Crain of Markham, TX. Eric was preceded in death by his grandfather: Frank Crain and uncle: Marty Ruth.

A memorial service honoring his life will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 19, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Markham with Rev. Damon Rambo officiating.
