Enemensia "Mencha" Luna, 86, of Palacios, passed away January 19, 2018. She was born on October 30, 1931 in Inez, Texas to the late Manuel and Maria Altamira Rodriguez.

Mencha was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to cook for her family, and was well known in Palacios.

Mencha is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Elias; daughter Mary Jane Reyna, and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children Elias Luna, Jr. and wife Delia of Lake Jackson, George W. Luna and wife Mary Alice of Waco, Linda Luna of Bay City, Sam D. Luna and wife Melissa of Round Rock; sister Rosita Martinez of Victoria; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00-8:00pm Tuesday January 23 at Palacios Funeral Home with the Rosary being recited at 6:30pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:00am Wednesday January 24, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Palacios. Rite of committal to follow at the Palacios Cemetery.
