The last page of Don's earthly journey was written June 11, 2007. He was born March 27, 1932 in Clemville, Texas to the late Marion "Potsy" Mark and Mamye Dessye Harvey Wells. He was a former resident of Bay City and had been a resident of Lake Jackson since 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Bullard Wells, two sons and a daughter-in-law Carl Anthony "Tony" & Marlene Wells and Mark Allen Wells, daughter and son-in-law Sandra Marchelle Deering and William Gray Deering II; seven grandchildren Nikole Marie Underwood & husband John, Tiffany Elaine Boone & husband Robert, Jennifer Ashley Wells, Brandon Scott Wells, Mark Allen Wells Carter, Amanda Carol Deering and Alexandra Marchelle Deering; three great grandchildren Hayden Parker Underwood, Cade Ryan Underwood & Maci Alexis Boone; sister and brother-in-law Elva Jean & Robert Ellis and brother and sister-in-law Marcus Durward & Peggy Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Connie Gayle Wells.

Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Roselawn Memorial Park with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. 979-245-4613.
