Obituary

Emmet Eugene Green, 90, of Bay City passed away July 24, 2010. He was born June 26, 1920 in Edna, TX to the late Eugene and Annie Terry Green. He served in the US Army during WWII in Karachi, India and Burma, Japan. He was discharged Oct. 1945 from Ft. Sam Houston as a Private First Class. He lived in El Campo from 1949 until 2002.

Survivors include son Glenn Green of San Antonio; daughters Gloria Sabrsula & husband Alfred of Bay City and Sharon Barfield & husband David Rogers, TX; sisters Mary Lucille Conley Lee, Mildred Lee Henderson and Lillie Mae Pearce; grandchildren Rachel, Ashley, & Colleen Green, Craig, Ryan & Wife Amanda & Karly Sabrsula, John, Scott & Laura Barfield and great grandchildren Valyn Rosales, Logan & Briana Green, Ty and Crayden Sabrsula. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Viola Muener Green after 57 Blessed years of marriage.

Family visitation will be from 7pm to 9pm Monday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Nichols Street Church of Christ with Bro. Glenn Organ officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in El Campo, TX. Memorials may be made to Nichols Street Church of Christ, 1200 Nichols Street, Bay City, TX 77414.
