Ellanora "Nonie" Bell Hartsfield, 93, went to our Savior May 4, 2018 in Bay City, Texas. She was born on January 21, 1925 in Matagorda, Texas to Frank E. and Nora Schmerber Bell.

She was married for 71 years to "the love of her life" Herman Neil Hartsfield.

As a longtime member of The Church of God of Prophecy, and a preacher's wife, she was a mainstay in many churches they pastored and served. She was a self-described "Holy Ghost Filled" woman of God. She is known by friends and relatives as "the co-prayer warrior" who fervently interceded with God for safety, health and healing of friends and family.

She served God in the way she felt He directed, not always an easy task as a pastor's wife. She assisted in feeding the flock, toiled at church functions and fundraisings. She helped the down-trodden, hurting and sick, always supporting her pastor husband's efforts wherever the call was leading to many different church assignments.

The day before leaving, she told her nurses "heaven is a beautiful place-you don't want to miss it."

We want to celebrate the long, loving life of Ellanora "Nonie" Bell Hartsfield and the arrival of her "heavenly reward" that she lived her life to achieve. Hallelujah! We will miss the long conversations with mom!

Ellanora is survived by her son Herman Neil (Chip) Hartsfield and wife Kay of Victoria; daughter Beverly LeFevre and husband Vic of Palacios; grandson Cody LeFevre and companion Malia Palk of San Antonio; great-granddaughter Kailani Jade LeFevre. She is also survived by her sisters Doris Moberly and Nell Middleton; and brothers William (Bill) Bell and Donald M. Bell.

Ellanora was preceded in death by the passing of her husband, parents, and siblings Irene Jinks, Floyd E. Bell, Gladys Mangum-Lane and Robert (Bob) Bell.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. Services will be 2:00pm Friday, May 11, 2018 at The Church of God of Prophecy Northside Chapel, 2721 Carey Smith Blvd., Bay City, Texas with Dr. Tommy Griffin and Bishop Scott Gillum- Overseer officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers are her nephews.
