Obituary

Ella Gade Peterson was born November 23, 1919 in Woodworth, North Dakota to Senius and Cecelia (Andersen) Gade. She married Robert A. "Bob" Peterson, Jr. on August 14, 1943 in Corpus Christi, TX. She lived in El Campo and Rosenberg prior to moving to Bay City in 1954. She retired as Dental Assistant and Receptionist in 1984 with over 25 years of experience. She was a life member of VFW Post #2438 Ladies Auxiliary, member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3232 Ladies Auxiliary, member of Matagorda County AARP Chapter 1398, and member of NARFE Chapter 1148. Through the years she held various positions in these organizations, was a faithful worker and had many hours of volunteer service. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Her husband preceded her in death as well as brothers Arnold Gade, Neils Gade, Elven Gade, Leslie Gade, sisters Esther (Gade) Oxborough, Elvera (Gade) Loberg, Alta (Gade) Gillette, Marcella Gade and Arlene (Gade) Williams. Survivors include daughters Melodie Durst & husband Dewey of Gulfport, MS and Gayla Mills & husband Frank of Reno, NV, grandchildren Jeri Losser & husband Bobby of Nine Mile Falls, WA, Christie Corley & husband Jay of Kingsville, TX, John Rawalt & wife Janiece of Saucier, MS, Heather Clark & husband Terry of Everett, WA, Rob Mills & wife Jenny of Arlington Heights, IL, great grandchildren DuAnne Branham & husband Cody of Graham, WA, Robbie Meadows of Kingsville, TX, Melissa Mastro & husband Nick of Biloxi, MS, Amy Corley of Graham, WA, Lindsay Storch & husband Steven of Spokane, WA, D.J. Birdsall of Wallkill, NY, John Rawalt Jr. of Saucier, MS, Bailey Corley of Kingsville, TX, Owen Losser of Nine Mile Falls, WA, Julianna Mills of Arlington Heights, IL, great-great grandchildren, Robert Meadows of Gulfport, MS, Colin Branham of Graham, WA, Kylah Meadows of Gulfport, MS, Ella Storch of Spokane, WA, Liam Branham of Graham, WA, Marley Mastro of Biloxi, MS, and sister Nina (Gade) Fischer of Moorhead, MN.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 1PM until 2PM Sunday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 21, 2013 at St. Peter Lutheran Church with Rev. Jared Stillions officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
