Elizabeth Joy Richey, 75, of Palacios passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007. She was born December 18, 1931 in Palacios to the late Samuel Albert Dorris and Hattie Mearl Jones Dorris, and was a life long resident of Palacios.

She is survived by daughter: Sandra Richey Johnson & husband Stephen of Wharton; 3 sons: Edwin Richey & wife Mary of Orchard, Lee Richey & wife Nancy of Victoria, and Owen Richey of Markham; sister: Gladys Wilson of Victoria; 8 grandchildren: Troy Richey, Jackie Ramos, Marcy Nelson, Brandi Richey, Kimberly Cassady, Amanda McClain, Marshall Johnson, and Danné Richey; and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Richey was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Loyed Richey.

A Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Palacios Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Morrison officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery.
