Elba E. Martinez, 97, of Bay City, passed away December 4, 2021. She was born in El Salvador October 18, 1924.

Elba is preceded in death by husband Ernest Escobar, daughter Carmen Cruz and granddaughter Carina Arguello. She is survived by children Jaime Arnoldo Chacon, Jorge Alfredo Martinez, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Edith Aragon and Ada Roldan; grandchildren Roger Chacon, Wendy Chacon, Noel Resto, Aleida DeLeon, Cindy Munoz, Leslie Aragon, Luis Roberto Aragon, Jr., Javier Cruz, Edwin Aragon, Edward Aragon, Bryan Arguello, Veronica Chacon, Alexa Gonzalez and Yiller Auyon.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Northside Chapel in Bay City. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Tommy Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Noel Resto, Luis Roberto Aragon, Jr., Edwin Aragon, Edward Aragon, Bryan Arguello and Yiller Auyon.
