Elaine Ruth Templeman, 74, of Palacios, TX passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019.

She was born in Grand Rapids, MN to the late Reino Erkkila and Sadie Pelto Erkkila. She grew up on a farm in Minnesota, graduated from Grand Rapids High School, and attended business school in Minneapolis. She moved to Idaho Falls, ID where she met her future husband, Thomas Templeman of Williamsville, IL. They moved often while he served in the US Navy, and then worked in the nuclear plant industry. They eventually settled in Palacios where she worked for Christianson Realty and for many years as the office manager for the Palacios Beacon.

She enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her rose and hibiscus bushes. She loved going to musical theater productions and movies with her friends. She attended as many of her children's and grandchildren's activates as possible. She was a pet lover and leaves behind her beloved cat Lily.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, sister Jane Pratt, brother-in-law Doug Pratt and brother-in-law Don Templeman.

She is survived by her children Pamela (Frank) Kendrick of Hallsville, TX and Kevin (Elizabeth) Templeman of Garden Ridge, TX; grandchildren Linton. Philip, Logan, and Isabel; nieces and nephew Christine (Karl) Summers and Brian Pratt of MN, and Kim Ruch of IL; many close friends and "Sisters by Choice".

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 16 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Palacios.
