Edwina Reeves, 92, of Bay City passed away July 8, 2018 in Sugarland, Texas. She was born October 12, 1925, in Alto, Texas to the late F.F. and Evelyn Smith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay City and was a Children's Sunday School teacher for over 30 years. She retired in 1984 from the First National Bank of Bay City and would later enjoy traveling. She was a member of the Friends of the Bay City Library, Matagorda County Birding and Nature Center, Matagorda County Museum and the Bay City Book Review Club. She was also a member of the Pilot Club of Bay City for 25 years.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Reeves and partner Wesley of Houston; her daughter, Donna Faris and husband Gary of Van Vleck; two grandsons, Christopher Hales of Bay City, and Clayton Hales and wife Heather of Bay City; two great grandsons, Troy and Tripp; a brother, Charles Smith and wife Vi of Richwood and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, P.J. Reeves Jr.; her sister, Florine O'Connell and a brother, Barney Smith.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Bay City with the Dr. Michael Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be: Charles Brookhouser, Paul Hannah, Stephen Harrison, Pat Matthes, Roger Ward and Tony Wells.
