Edward Lee Martinez, Sr., 59, of Markham, TX passed away Friday, September 25, 2009 in Bay City. He was born December 11, 1949 in Rockport, TX to the late Eluterio and Janie Ramirez Martinez. He was a resident of Markham for the past 30 years.

He is survived by his wife: Teresa R. Martinez of Markham; by his sons: Edward Jr. and Patricia Martinez, John Sr. & Cristine Martinez, daughters: Janie (Madi) & Johnny Gaona and Melanie & Joey Garcia; by his sisters: Lucy Garcia and Jessica Martinez; is aunt: Lucy McClanahan; his uncle: Ernest Ramirez, Sr.; and by numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eluterio "Larry" & Janie Martinez, brother: Jasto "Larry Jr" Martinez and sister Gloria Medina.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Tino Torres officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Johnathan Quintanilla, Marcus Martinez, Dominic Martinez, Jesse Villarreal, Anthony Quintanilla, and Edward Lee Martinez, Jr.
