Edward Guzman Sr., 71, of Bay City, passed on Friday, November 4, 2016. He was born on January 7, 1945 in Bay City, Texas to the late Louis and Josephine Lopez Guzman.
Edward was a hard working man who was devoted to his family. He was a very friendly man who knew a lot of people.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents; brother Valentine Guzman and daughter Isabel Gonzales.
He is survived by his loving wife Guadalupe Guzman; children, Josephine Moore, Edward Guzman, Jr., Estella Vasquez, Jaime Torres, Julie Torres, Rosie Renteria, Norma McClelland, Manuel Torres, Corinna Wood, Debra Hernandez, Cynthia Ferrer; brother Louis Guzman; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home from 3:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Friday, November 11 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00P.M. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City with Monsignor Gerry Cernoch celebrant. Rite of committal will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Edward Guzman III, Kris Guzman, Alonzo Solis, Andrew Tatum, Richard Rodriguez, Gabriel Rangel, Angel Gonzales and Abel Tamez. Honorary pallbearer is Brian Tatum.
