Edna L. Plunkett, 86, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008. She was born December 16, 1921 in Troy, TN to Carl Leroy Lasley and Clara Cravens Lasley. She was a resident of Bay City for the past six years, a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and a member of the VFW Post 2438 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband: Roy H. Plunkett of Bay City; by daughter: Gail P. Weber & husband Mark of Houston; her son: Alan Wayne Plunkett of Bay City; by a sister: Elsie McKeethan of Lenoir City, TN; a brother: Charles Lasley of Sunset, LA; and by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son: Gerald Leroy Plunkett; her parents: Carl L. and Clara C. Lasley; and a sister: Ruth Armstrong.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 19, 2008 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny, TX. Pallbearers will be Alan "Tank" Plunkett, Zach Hayes, Shannon Harper, Norman Steen, Gary Kaiser and Keith Hatton.
