Edith Lucille "Shug" Arnold, 87, went home to the Lord, Sunday, October 19, 2014. Edith was born August 5, 1927 in Needville, Texas the late Anthus and Gladys Laxson Kelley. Edith was a loving and devoted mother, Nannie, sister, aunt & friend, always putting others before herself. She had the most generous heart and touched many lives with her presence.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, daughter, brother and sister. She is survived by her K-9 child and devoted companion: Prissy, children: Linda Williams and Pamela Henricksen; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; sister Hazel Koch; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Palacios Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at the Palacios Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Rush officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Justin Boudreaux, Lawrence Arnold lV, Terrell Williams, John Sellers lll, Jimmy Sellers, Dwayne Miller Jr., Jonathan Miller, and Devin Diederich.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Post #2467 in Palacios.
