Eddie Tallas, 87, of Van Vleck passed away August 4, 2008. He was born November 9, 1920 to the late Joseph and Mary Swet Tallas. He worked as a plumber for many years, served in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Gertrude Fojtik Tallas; daughters and sons-in-law Shirley & Bob Kilpatrick of Bryan, TX and Carol & David Branton of Van Vleck; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm to 8pm Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. Peter Lutheran Church with Rev. Jared Stillions officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Greg Branton, Alan Kilpatrick, Mark Branton, Eric Branton, Joseph Brannon & Steven Milner. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 1909 Peach, Bay City, TX 77414.
