Obituary
Ed Demmer, 84, of Bay City, passed away May 8, 2017. He was born December 14, 1932 in Woodsboro, TX to the late Roy and Sarah Demmer.
Ed served his country in combat with the U.S. Army in the Korean War, and was awarded a Purple Heart
Ed loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Georgia Cornett and sisters Martha and Helen. He is survived by his wife LaVerne Donaldson Demmer; children Kim Schaer and husband Phil, Cheryl Knight, Richard Knight, Robert Knight and Lynda Horton; sister Dorothy Nieman; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Veteran's organization.
A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Ramsey officiating.
