Earl Sam Johnson, 79, of Bay City passed away September 1, 2005 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1925 in Bay City to Acie Smith Johnson and Roxie Bell Neal Johnson. He was a US Army Veteran of Korea; member of the First Baptist Church; and a former Operator for Amaco Production.

He is survived by his brother, Hugh Mac Johnson and wife Addie of Houston; his Sister-in-law, Wynelle Johnson of Bay City; by special friend, Romona Davis of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Smith & Roxie Johnson; and by his brothers and sisters: John Henry Johnson, Myrtle Jones, Edna Johnson, Allie May Lane, Stella White, Ramon Frank Johnson, and Alvin Smith Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 3, 2005 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Carl, Robert, Phillip, Alvin, Kyle, and Kevin Johnson.
