Obituary
Dwight Wayne Smith, 83, of Blessing passed away Jan. 31, 2009. He was born April 15, 1925 in Liberty, Ohio to the late Harvey and Emma Vogelsong Smith. He served in the US Navy during WWII and was a retired Commercial Fisherman.
Survivors include his wife Helen Jean Smith of Blessing; daughters Tonya L. Kelly & husband Ed of Oklahoma, and Debra A. Underwood & husband Raymond of Ohio; sons Dwayne Smith of Virginia and Harvey M. Smith of Texas; brother John Smith of OH; grandchildren Wayne C. McAvoy & wife Tabithia of CO, Wade A. McAvoy & wife Susan of OH, April D. McKinney & husband Ricky of TX, Becky Smith & Randy Smith both of OH, Alexis Marie Smith and Megan Renae Smith both of TX, Dwight R. Underwood & wife Rachel of OH, Ardena Young of OH, and Allison Smith & Ashley Smith both of TX.
Memorials may be made to Gulf Coast Conservation Association.
