Durell Nealy, 98, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012 in Baptrop where he had lived the last six years. He was born December 27, 1913 in Mooringsport LA. Nealy is survived by his daughter, Connie and her husband Admiral Vern Clark of Phoenix AZ; a brother, Dr. Wrendell Nealy, MD, and his sister Sug Tate of Baton Rouge LA; and grandsons Jeff and Matt Clark of Phoenix. His wife Addie of 70 years, Addie, passed away in 2007. He also had a brother, Fred, who preceded him in death.
Nealy was a long time resident and business man of Bay City TX.. He owned and operated OK Rubber Welders and later Speedway Oil Company which served an area across the southern part of Texas. The Nealy's were also very active in their local church.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday January 5th at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Bastrop. Interment will follow at the Southpark Cemetery in Pearland.
