Duane P. Corporon, 82 of Palacios, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2006 in Houston, TX. He was born April 13, 1923 in Citrus Grove Community to Percy Virgil Corporon and Lu Ellen Fox Corporon. He was a life-long resident of Matagorda County, a member of the Church of Christ of Palacios, a US Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, and a Life Member of VFW Post #2467 of Palacios.

He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Corporon of Palacios; his daughter: Bonnie Carolyn Corporon of Palacios; by his sons: Kenneth Duane Corporon of Stafford and Allen Neal Corporon of Liberty Hill; by a brother: Larry Wayne Corporon of Houston; and by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The Family will receive friends from 3 PM to 5 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the Palacios Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Craiker officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, TX with military honors under the auspices of VFW Post # 2467 of Palacios, TX. Pallbearers will be Allen N. Corporon, Kenneth D. Corporon, Larry W. Corporon, Robert Nitsch, Brett Corporon, Carl Corporon, and Victor Corporon.
